What is it?
Second only to cod in popularity, haddock is a much smaller fish than cod with a sweeter flavour. Haddock has iron-grey skin and a silvery belly with a distinctive black line running the length of the fillet. There is also a black spot at the top end of the fillet.
Preparation Options
Our Haddock is usually in fillets, you can have the fillets skinned. The top is thicker and contains a few bones, the tail is thinner and contains no bones. Occasionally we will have large whole fish which you can have scaled and bake whole.
Is it sustainable?
Our haddock mostly comes from Grimsby and sometimes from Looe. We only by large line caught cod because it is sustainable and high quality.
