What is it?
Cod is a key member of a whole family of fish including haddock, coley, pollack, whiting, ling and hake. All the related fish in this group are sea fish of varying sizes and share similar characteristics such as low-fat white flesh.
Preparation Options
Our cod is usually in fillets, you can have the fillets skinned, the top is thicker and contains a few bones, the tail is thinner and contains no bones. Occasionally we will have large whole fish which you can have cut up into steaks with a large bone in the middle.
Is it sustainable?
Our cod mostly comes from Grimsby and sometimes from Looe. We only by large line caught cod because it is sustainable and high quality.
